Transferring data from different sources is complex and requires building an infrastructure to constantly sync every component, level, and channel to provide great value.
We aim to be as aligned as possible with all data sources and develop mechanisms that regularly sync and update the data on our dashboards.
Our data sources include:
Apple Ads - a user acquisition channel within the App Store.
Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP) - a third-party attribution platform such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, etc.
BI systems - any client's BI system that holds relevant data.
Apple Ads sends us a wide range of metrics including Downloads,
Impressions, Insights, and much more.
The statistics from the Apple Ads are updated every 2-3 hours depending on the data volume our system is processing for your account.
SplitMetrics Acquire provides status information in terms of synchronization with Apple Ads. To see the synchronization status of all ad accounts, click Settings > Ad accounts.
You can see the following synchronization statuses:
Sync in progress: The account structure data from Apple Ads for the given Ad account is waiting to be synced, and it will take some time to be completed.
Last sync date: Last time when the statistics of your Apple Ads ad accounts have been updated.
Access revoked: The Apple access to this account was revoked and we were unable to sync your ad account.
Sync error status: We were unable to sync data with Apple, reach to support.
โThe initial sync process can take about 1.5 hours for small accounts, while for larger accounts, it can take 3 hours or more depending on the amount of your Apple Ads data. Apple Ads account sync for new users is faster as they have a higher priority in the synchronization queue.
This article sheds light on how to connect your Apple Ads account to Splitmetrics Acquire.
There are two different methods for communicating with any MMP: Postbacks and API calls. Each method requires a different setup and requirements that vary between MMPs. You can configure Postbacks from MMPs by setting up a Partner integration with us. Read about partner integrations here.
The data received from an MMP is based on events defined in the MMP settings by the
client. To receive in-app events to our platform, you need to indicate the names of events on an MMP's side and create Custom Conversions with the same names on SplitMetrics Acquire's side.
We make sure that all events configured to be sent to SplitMetrics Acquire by an MMP are set and mapped under the relevant columns on our dashboards.
Usually, the synchronization process for all metrics with an MMP takes about 30 minutes ๐
Here's a way to check whether an MMP is connected and we receive events. Go to Settings > Integrations and look at the status of the integration:
Online - we received events for the past 6 hours;
Offline - we didn't receive events for the past 6 hours.
Scroll down to Integration Status to see when the last event was received. You can click the gear icon (โ๏ธ) to see all events received for an app and the time of their receipt. Additionally, you can check if a Custom Conversion was created for a particular in-app event.
โCustom Conversions are necessary to save in-app event data in our system and display it on the dashboards.

SplitMetrics Acquire allows you to track Ad Revenue from Appsflyer and Adjust, giving you possibilities to enhance your monetization strategy.
On our platform, the Ad revenue data is updated once a day.
Here are the statuses of your Ad revenue connection you can come across:
Connect: The Ad Revenue integration is not yet set up. To get started, simply click on the "Connect" button and follow the instructions provided on the pop-up screen.
Connected: The integration setup process has been successfully completed. You can now access your Ad Revenue data on the SplitMetrics dashboards.
Check the status: We're almost done with the setup process for the Ad Revenue integration. Once we verify your access, the platform will start receiving data automatically. Note that this verification process may take up to 2 business days.
Edit Connection: The test connection has failed. Click on "Edit Connection" to fix the error, or reach out to our friendly support team for assistance.
Restore Connection: We encountered an error while attempting to connect to the Ad Revenue API. To resolve this issue, click on "Restore Connection" or reach out to our support team.
๐ BI Integration is not available on a Starter Plan
If you use your own BI system, which holds important data, or use your own attribution logic within the BI, you can set up a BI integration with us. We support custom logic for each integration and adjust the schedule so that the data is up to date when it is exported from your BI.
Once we receive the file from your BI system, it takes about 1-1,5 hours to process it and display the data on the platform UI.
The duration of the process depends on different variables including when the file was
shared, the amount of data it holds, and the current workload of the system. This makes it difficult to predict exactly how long it will take, however assuming the delivery time and data extent is regular, it will be completed around the same time each day.
If the synchronization doesn't take place and any metric is missing from our dashboards, please reach out to our Support team for assistance.
