Now you can see Reattributed Reinstalls data on the SplitMetrics Acquire dashboard in a separate column as you see it in AppsFlyer. This feature will help to better analyze the difference in attribution between Apple Ads and MMP using tables and charts, making the whole funnel more transparent and full.
This gives an opportunity to track the data in the MMP logic and see a bigger picture on installs for both new and Retargeting users. This column is especially useful for:
Retargeting campaigns.
Brand campaigns.
Campaigns with Redownload Share (Tap-Through) > New Download Share (Tap-Through).
Note: Reattributed Reinstalls are NOT equal to Redownloads (Tap-Through), as logic behind these terms is different.
❗️If you track reattributions in AppsFlyer and have an activated Reinstall attribution toggle in the partner integration settings for Apple Ads in AppsFlyer, then you’ll be able to see this data in the SplitMetrics Acquire as well from June 2022. If this toggle is not active, there will be no reattribution data both in MMP and SplitMetrics Acquire.
There is no need to make any additional changes in the SplitMetrics Acquire partner integration settings.
Separate column for reattribution data
To present Reattributed Reinstalls data, we added a new homonymous column to our dashboards.
Note: This column is not in the default preset, so you need to edit your columns preset to see it on your dashboard.
To add the Reattributed Reinstalls column to your dashboard:
1. Click the column settings icon in the right part of your screen.
2. Choose Edit columns.
3. Find the column in the In-App Events section.
4. Select the Reattributed Reinstalls metric.
5. Click Apply.
Comparing SplitMetrics Acquire and AppsFlyer columns' data
The new Reattributed Reinstalls column in SplitMetrics Acquire displays the data that you see in the Re-attributions column in AppsFlyer.
SMA Reattributed Reinstalls = AppsFlyer Re-attributions.
Please note that the Installs column in SplitMetrics Acquire is different from AppsFlyer Installs and is calculated as follows:
SplitMetrics Acquire Installs = AF Installs + Re-attributions = AF Total.
Considering this, there will be no significant change in Install Rate (Tap-Through) for campaigns on the SplitMetrics Acquire dashboard with this update, as the Installs logic stays the same.
To see AppsFlyer Installs in SplitMetrics Acquire separately, you’ll need to create a custom metric and add it to your dashboard, which will be AF Installs = Installs - Reattributed Reinstalls.
To create this custom metric:
1. Click the column settings icon in the right part of your screen
2. Choose Add custom column option.
3. Click Metric > Installs > – > Metric > Reattributed Reinstalls.
4. Enter the Metric Name and choose the metric format Number.
5. Click Create.
Note: This metric will be automatically added to your dashboard once created.
Additional use of Reattributed Reinstalls data in SMA
You can add this new Reattributed Reinstalls column/metric (as well as any other metric) in both charts and automation rules.
For charts, it can be useful to compare Downloads (Tap-Through), Installs, and Reattributed Reinstalls, to see the whole picture and analyze attribution with the MMP.

If you want to create any rules for Reattributed Reinstalls or any custom metric created based on this column, it can be easily done by following the steps from our article on automation.
