Adding and Setting Up a New App in SplitMetrics Acquire

Learn how to start promoting a new app on our platform.

The first step to promoting your newest app with SplitMetrics Acquire is to add it to our platform.

There are two ways to add and monitor a new app πŸ“± in SplitMetrics Acquire.

1. To manage your app in a separate SplitMetrics Acquire ad account,

Note. If you don’t link to an App Store Connect account, you won’t be able to promote an app with Apple Ads, and your ad group will display a Sync error or On Hold status.

2. If you want to run campaigns for your new app in the existing SplitMetrics Acquire ad account, create at least one new campaign for this app in the necessary SplitMetrics Acquire ad account or the corresponding Apple Ads campaign group.

You can see all the added apps and their statistics from Apple Ads and your tracker on the App level of your dashboard πŸ‘‡πŸ»

❗ If you've created a new Apple Ads campaign group and connected it to SplitMetrics Acquire, you need to configure partner integration with your MMP πŸ”— before passing to the next step.

The next step is to create conversions. Go to Settings > Custom Conversions > Create Conversion in SplitMetrics Acquire and start typing the name of the necessary app for which you'd like to track custom conversions. The app will appear among others in the dropdown list.

Complete all the following steps πŸ”— from the guide and click Create Custom Conversion. To check or edit the created conversions, go to Settings > Custom Conversions.

Once the setup is done properly, the events will start coming to SplitMetrics Acquire. To watch them:

1. Go to Settings > Integrations.

2. Click the gear icon (βš™οΈ) next to the app you're interested in.

In the pop-up message, you'll find the events and time when they happened most recently.
