Where Can I Check the Events Sending by Trackers?

Learn how you can easily check the status of your MMP integration in SplitMetrics Acquire

There are two ways to check what events MMP sends to SplitMetrics Acquire.

Option 1: Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click the gear icon (⚙️) next to the app you're interested in.

Option 2: In the Ads Manager, find the app you need and click In-app events.

The following window will pop up:

From the columns in the pop-up window, you're able to check the following information:

🔤 In-app event name: names of the events included in the integration settings.

🕐 Time of the last received event: indicates the date and time when the last event was received from your tracker.

📂 Custom Conversion: shows names of the custom conversions you've created on our platform for the corresponding events. Learn more

Creating Custom Conversions is necessary to save in-app event data in our system and display it on the dashboards. Setting up conversions is however not needed for tracking installs and reattributions - you'll be able to track them right away once they arrive in the Installs column.

Seeing the Create conversion link next to the time of the last event means that we're successfully receiving events from your tracker, but to start recording in-app event data in your account, you'll need to create a custom conversion.

Make sure the event names you add to Custom Conversions on our platform match exactly with those in your MMP. If they don’t, SplitMetrics Acquire won’t save the data for those events.

Not received event status

The Not received status next to the event name means that we haven't yet received this event from your tracker. This could be due to the fact that no new events have occurred in your tracker since the integration was set up, or your MMP integration may be inaccurately configured.


What to do if I'm not receiving events from my MMP?

When you have connected a new MMP and do not see the data coming from it to your SplitMetrics Acquire account, then it is most likely that something is wrong with the setup. Please go through the points below to ensure that everything was set up correctly:

Step 1️⃣ Check if integration was set up correctly in your MMP by following the Partner integration guide with your MMP.

Step 2️⃣ Please ensure that you’ve created custom conversions for each in-app event you wish to track. To create a custom conversion, go to Settings > Custom Conversion and create custom conversions for the specific event. 🔗 Check our step-by-step guide

Step 3️⃣ Ensure that the integration between your MMP and Apple Ads is up and there are Apple Ads-attributed in-app events visible on the MMP charts that can be transferred to the SplitMetrics Acquire dashboards.

Step 4️⃣ Check the date ranges when you are comparing your MMP dashboard with your SMA dashboard. We only start receiving and showing in-app events after the integration is complete in a correct way. We will not show in-app events that happened before the integration set up.

Step 5️⃣ Please add a corresponding column to the dashboard to actually see the quantity of in-app events. Custom conversion columns are not in the default preset, so you need to edit your columns preset to see it on your dashboard.

As soon as everything above is in check, the events should start flowing seamlessly.
