This integration allows you to optimize your Apple Ads campaigns for key events like trials and subscriptions, track which keywords and campaigns drive the most app installs and activity, and monitor your ROI and ROAS for better budget decisions. With our custom conversions you will gain detailed insights into your campaign performance and improve your app marketing strategy.
❗Important
Before setting up the integration with SplitMetrics Acquire, ensure that you have configured integration with Apple Ads in your Apphud account and can view events attributed to this media source on the Apphud dashboard.
If you have several apps for which you need to receive installs and post-install events, repeat the below steps for each app.
We start receiving installs and events once you have correctly completed the integration setup between SplitMetrics Acquire and Apphud.
Don't forget to create custom conversions for your in-app events to finalize the integration.
1. Log in into your Apphud account.
2. Navigate to Integrations > iOS.
3. Search for SplitMetrics Acquire | Formerly SearchAdsHQ and add it.
4. Fill out your Client ID 🔗 Learn how to find your Client ID in the corresponding field.
5. Scroll down to Event configuration section and enable toggles next to the events you want to track. Events are organized into tabs such as Trial, Regular, Promo, etc. Adjust settings for each event under its respective tab.
6. To enable the transmission of Install & Re-Install events, please navigate to the Other tab. In the User Created and App Reinstalled fields, specify user_created (Install) and app_reinstalled (Re-Install) respectively. Ensure both event types are indicated for accurate information.
7. Under Revenue Configuration, select Send revenue properties to SplitMetrics Acquire to enable sending revenue for all events.
8. Turn on the Send sales as proceed if you need to send the net revenue.
❗ The Send revenue properties to SplitMetrics Acquire checkbox implements this function for all revenue events. In Apphud you don’t have the opportunity to choose this option on the in-app event level.
9. Enable integration and click Save.
Once you've configured the integration in Apphud, go back to SplitMetrics Acquire and create Custom Conversions for the necessary events to track them on the dashboards.
💡Tip: You can find in-app events without Custom Conversions by going to Settings > Integrations and checking the Integrations popup.
❗Important
When you carefully checked all the settings and steps and still not see your Apphud in-App events in your SplitMetrics Acquire account, please pay attention on the in-App events Integration status on the Apphud overview dashboard:
1) Pending status means that event is scheduled for sending or is waiting for attribution data, like AppsFlyer ID, Adjust ID, etc. Facebook integration delays every event for 10 minutes due to waiting for IDFA.
2) Skipped Status means event was not send due to one of the following reasons:
- No device found – Could not found device identifiers for given event.
- IDFA restricted - User didn't grant access to IDFA. Check the following.
- too old event - Events that occurred 24 hours earlier than user creation date will be skipped.
- account suspended – Your Apphud account is suspended, all integrations are disabled.
- family shared subscription – Apphud skips family shared subscriptions from integrations.
- anonymous customer – Unable to identify user because it came from Apple Notifications. Cannot send event to integrations because User ID is unknown.
- event disabled - this event is disabled in the integration settings. Check integration settings, and turn on this event if needed.
Please make sure to always pay attention on your in-App event status. You can find more information about statuses in this detailed 🔗 Apphud help center article.
