In mobile marketing, success is often measured through numbers. The sooner you respond to the changes in your app performance over the market, the faster you can reach your most ambitious targets in advertising your application. But how to bring together the most needed insights on how your app is performing in the Apple Store within a couple of minutes? Our brand new Overview Dashboard could be the answer.
With Overview Dashboard in SplitMetrics Acquire, you can get a consolidated view of your app efficiency by different storefronts and metrics. There's no need to switch from one dashboard to another—you'll get a round-up of the most significant trends and changes in one place.
On the Overview Dashboard, you can:
✅ Compare different metrics and storefronts.
✅ Keep track of app performance in the dynamic.
✅ Monitor progress and trends.
✅ Quickly detect the most significant changes.
✅ Drill down for more detail if you need to improve your workflow processes.
All the data is presented in the most relevant and flexible way for analysis: charts and tables 📈 Four different widgets enable the display of individual metrics, aggregated values, and trends and also, are very easy to use and understand.
Let's consider all the widgets in detail.
Notes:
Storefronts and Trends are available only for single-geo campaigns.
The countries presented on the dashboards correspond to the storefronts specified for the selected application.
Total Summary
The Total Summary widget provides a fast and concise overview of essential metrics, helping you quickly spot key patterns, make informed decisions, and gain valuable insights into your data.
❗If you see a small orange icon next to the metric value in Total Summary, it means that your Mobile Measurement Partner is not connected to our platform. To activate MMP metrics, go to Integrations and link your tracker. After that, create Custom Conversions so we can accurately display in-app events data on our platform.
Alternatively, if you see a grey icon, this indicates that although the integration with your tracker is configured, you haven’t created Custom Conversions to complete the setup. Navigate to Settings > Custom Conversions and follow the detailed instructions provided in this user guide.
Note: Installs start coming to our platform automatically once the integration with MMP is properly set up. Unlike in-app events, there is no need to create Custom Conversions for installs.
Storefronts
In this widget, you can analyze your app performance in several storefronts at a time or compare various storefronts with each other by a particular metric.
You can switch between 2 data display types: map and bar chart.
The richer the blue color on the map, the higher the metric's value in the region.
The bar chart shows the descending data from left to right: from the country with the highest value to the country with the smallest value.
If you hover over the chart, you can see a pop-up specifying data on a certain storefront for the set date range and the same period before it, their difference, and percent changes.
Click Go to campaigns, and you'll get straight to the Campaigns level of your Ads Manager with the same enabled filters by Storefront.
You can select any of the Ad performance, In-app conversions, Custom conversions, Cohort analysis, or Custom metrics from the drop-down list.
Trends
The Trends widget lets you monitor the movements of one metric for several storefronts at once or a set of metrics within the same storefront and see correlations between the trends. The data can be shown in 2 ways depending on your preferences: line or bar chart.
❗Notes:
1. A maximum of 8 countries can be selected at once.
2. If several countries have been selected at one time, you can analyze only 1 metric.
3. To add more metrics, leave selected just one particular country and click the Plus icon.
💡 Tip: In the Storefront and Trends Widgets, the following settings are available: granularity (a), display type: line or bar chart (b), expand/collapse the widget (c), and show zero Y-scale and labels (d).
Top list
Top list lets you display campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and ads with the most or least of any metric value.
You can analyze 3 metrics at once by sorting the data in descending or ascending order to reconsider and better your strategies.
Biggest changes
You can quickly check the biggest positive and negative changes in the selected metrics and countries in the Biggest Changes widget. A single table lets you see the changes in campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and ads in both directions.
The blue color indicates changes upwards, and yellow is for changes downward.
💡 Tip. We recommend analyzing statistics within one storefront for the Top list and Biggest changes widgets to have more representative results.
Filters
You can use three filters to narrow your workflow: Storefronts, Ad Placement, and Campaign Status. The set filters will be applied to the whole dashboard.
- Storefront: specify the necessary or exclude the unwanted countries.
- Ad placement: select Search Results, Search Tab, Today Tab, or Product Pages.
- Campaign Status: select Enabled or Paused.
💡 Tip. All filters may be used simultaneously.
For what period is the data displayed?
You can select a date range using a calendar at the top right of the page. The selected date will apply to all the widgets on the Overview Dashboard page.
Is it possible to monitor data on all the apps simultaneously?
You can see statistics only for one particular application at a time.
