With RevenueCat, you can track subscriptions generated from Apple Ads campaigns, allowing you to know precisely how much revenue your campaigns generate.
βIn terms of our integration, RevenueCat doesn't send statistics on installs to SplitMetrics Acquire: we receive only enriched purchase events. Therefore, the install rate and any install-related rules will not be relevant for this tracker.
Integration setup
To set up partner integration and start sending RevenueCat events into SplitMetrics Acquire, perform the following actions:
Note: You will need to repeat the below steps for every app connected to SplitMetrics.
1. Log in to your RevenueCat account at https://www.revenuecat.com/.
2. Go to your project on the RevenueCat dashboard and find the Integrations card in the left menu.
3. Click + New.
4. Select SplitMetrics Acquire | Formerly SearchAdsHQ from the Integrations menu.
5. Add your SplitMetrics Acquire Client ID.
6. Enter the event names that RevenueCat will send or choose the default event names.
7. Select whether you want RevenueCat to report proceeds (after app store cut) or revenue (gross sales).
8. Click Save.
Note: Make sure to remove all client-side tracking of revenue. Since RevenueCat will be sending events for all revenue actions, tracking purchases yourself directly into SplitMetrics Acquire can lead to double counting of revenue.
Next steps
Once the integration is set up, you can start creating conversions in SplitMetrics Acquire.
Navigate to Settings > Custom Conversions > Create Conversion on the SplitMetrics Acquire interface and then follow the steps in the guide from our Help Center.
π‘Tip: You can find in-app events without Custom Conversions by going to Settings > Integrations and checking the Integrations popup.
When comparing data in RevenueCat to SplitMetrics, keep in mind any reporting differences between the systems such as timezones, calculations, and whether the underlying source data is the same.
