  • Or when you want to be notified about ad groups that don't bring any conversions to explore the reasons behind that.

IIf it does seem familiar, then save a good deal of time by automating all these processes 🚀 Say goodbye to repetitive tasks and enjoy our seamless automation and effortless ad group management!

You can automate the following actions with rules:

💡Note. All the actions will be applied only to the ad groups with the Enabled status, except for:

  • Action “Enable campaign” that will be applied to the “Paused” campaigns,

  • Action “Send notification only” that will be applied to both “Enabled” and “Paused” campaigns.

You can create a new automated rule for ad groups campaign:

  • From the Ads Manager dashboard > Ad Group level, by selecting the ad group(s) and clicking Rules > Create rule for Ad Groups.

  • Directly from the Automation page by clicking the Create rule button > For ad groups.

💡 Let's explore a particular use case. I have an ad group that brings me zero purchases for quite a while, so having analyzed the metrics, I came to a decision to pause this ad group.

1. Specify ad groups the rule should be applied to:

  • All ad groups

  • Ad groups in the selected apps

  • Ad groups in the selected campaigns

  • Selected ad groups

💡Note. If you create a rule from the Ads Manager, the selected ad groups will be automatically included for the rule.

2. In the Action list, select Pause ad group.

3. Select Add Labels to tag objects processed by the rule, ensuring better tracking and improved visibility.

4. Set Conditions. The rule will run once the specified conditions are met.

5. In the Date Range drop-down menu, choose the period which you want to analyze. It's advisable to extend the date range to make sure there are no required in-app events.

6. In Run frequency, choose when and how often the rule should run. In the example above, the rule is run once.

7. Specify the rule's name.
8. Toggle Notify me when conditions of this rule are met to receive an email with the rule completion results.

9. Select Run this rule right now to execute the rule immediately after saving. It will then continue running according to the defined frequency.

10. Click Create rule.
