Navigating Automated Rules Dashboard and Using Bulk Actions

Written by Polina Barysheva

Our Automation Dashboard makes it a breeze to navigate and manage dozens (or even hundreds!) of automated rules. In this article, we’ll show you how to make the most of its tools to streamline your workflow and get better results.

Key Features for Efficient Rule Management

Use the features below to save time and resources while maintaining an organized approach to handling automation rules.

Filters

The Automation tab offers a variety of filtering options to help you quickly locate specific rules. You can filter by App, Storefront, Action, Label, Rule Level, and Status.

Let’s dive into each option to understand how it can be helpful for you:

- App: use this filter to locate rules created for a particular app, especially helpful if you manage multiple apps.

- Storefront: this filter allows you to view rules for specific storefronts, making it easy to manage regional configurations.

- Action: find rules based on their actions to avoid conflicting changes and maintain efficient automation.

- Label: view rules with specific labels you’ve assigned, helping you focus on grouped or prioritized rules.

- Rule Level: filter by levels such as campaigns, ad groups, keywords, or search terms to make targeted updates.

- Status: quickly locate active rules without altering the sorting structure, focusing only on currently used rules.

Search Field

Looking for a specific rule? The Search Field allows you to find a rule by its name or other keywords quickly. This is a powerful tool for pinpointing specific rules in large accounts, helping you make adjustments faster without the need to scroll through the entire list.

Labels

Labels help you efficiently categorize your rules, simplifying the process of tracking, searching, and filtering them. In the Labels dropdown, you’ll find both Preset and Custom labels, along with the option to create new ones.

  • Preset labels are ready-made options that allow you to quickly mark rules for specific campaign types, such as brand or non-brand campaigns.

  • Custom labels are imported directly from Ads Manager, enabling you to use the same labels for rules you've already created in Ads Manager.

Bulk Actions

With Bulk Actions, you can easily manage multiple rules at once, increasing efficiency and reducing manual work. Simply select the rules you want to modify, click Actions, and choose from options like updating the status or deleting the rules.

The Actions menu also gives you the ability to view logs for the selected rules, allowing you to focus on the changes that are most relevant to your current needs.

Duplication

The Duplication feature lets you quickly create a copy of an existing rule, streamlining the process of creating similar rules.

To duplicate a rule, just choose the rule you wish to replicate and click the Copy icon. The copied rule will be paused by default. From there, you can click Edit Rule to adjust any necessary parameters, and when you're ready, set it live.

Note. You can only copy rules one by one. Bulk duplication is currently unavailable.

More Great Features of the Automation Dashboard

In addition to the key features we've covered, the Automation Dashboard offers even more tools to streamline your rule management and improve your efficiency.

1. Quickly sort your rules by Created date, Last Run, or Next Run to stay organized and focus on the most relevant rules based on their timeframes.

2. Instantly view the total number of rules in your account, providing you with a clear overview of your rule volume for better management.

3. Adjust column widths to suit your needs, allowing you to customize the layout and easily access the information that matters most to you.

4. Navigate between pages seamlessly by selecting how many rows to display per page, reducing the need for scrolling and helping you find the right rules faster.

As you can see, the Automation dashboard offers the same intuitive design and user-friendly navigation as our main dashboard, making it simple to manage your automated rules!
