💡 Why use Display placements?

Campaigns running in these placements increase your app’s visibility early in the customer journey, reaching audiences who may not yet be actively searching. By engaging users across multiple high-impact touchpoints, you strengthen brand awareness and keep your app top of mind. Combining these placements with Search Results campaigns builds a balanced Apple Ads approach that supports both capturing existing demand and generating new interest.

In this article, we’ll walk you through each step of setting up campaigns with Campaigns Launcher, from start to finish. Whether you’re new to campaign creation or looking to refine your current process, this feature offers an intuitive way to streamline your workflow and enhance overall campaign performance.

How to use Campaigns Launcher?

To get started, click the plus sign (➕) on any dashboard and select Try Now. This will open the setup page.

Step 1. Configure Campaign Settings

In the Campaign Settings section, complete the following 👇

1. Select an app to promote. Type your app’s name in the search bar and choose from the dropdown list.

2. Choose an ad account. Pick the relevant ad account associated with your app.

3. Define your campaign storefront. Use the search bar to locate and select the storefront where your campaigns will run.

4. Set your Daily Budget. Enter the total amount you want to allocate per day for your campaigns 🔗 Learn more about managing expenses with Daily Budget

💡 Note: The Daily Budget will be evenly distributed among all campaigns based on the amount you set. For example, if you enter $50 and have four campaigns, each will receive a daily budget of $12.50.

5. Choose where your ads will appear in the App Store. Combine Search Results campaigns with display-style placements to reach users at different stages of their journey and increase app visibility.

  • Search Results campaigns: Choose from Brand, Competitor, Generic, and Discovery types to target users actively searching for apps.

  • Display campaigns: Select placements like Today Tab, Search Tab, and Product Pages to build brand awareness and connect with users earlier in their discovery.

6. Schedule your ads. Specify a start date and, if needed, an end date.

Step 2. Add Your Competitors

Next, select the competitors that best fit your campaign strategy. You have two options:

1. Keep the suggested competitors that are automatically displayed for you.

2. Remove the suggested apps if you prefer to customize your selection. Use the search bar to find specific competitors by app name, ID, or App Store link.

💡 Note: You can add up to 10 competitors to the settings.

Step 3. Add Your Keyword List

You’ll now be presented with a list of suggested keywords tailored to your campaigns. You can filter these suggestions by Campaign Type to view keywords specific to Generic, Brand, or Competitor campaigns. Additionally, the Search Popularity metric is available to help you evaluate keyword relevance.

You can either keep all the suggested keywords or deselect those that don't align with your campaigns' goals. If needed, you can also add your own keywords by typing them into the search bar.

Once you've finalized your keyword selection, click Next to assess the structure.

Step 4. Review Your Structure

As the final step, review and adjust your settings on the Summary page:

1. Daily Budget is evenly distributed across all campaigns based on the amount set in Step 1. For example, if you entered $50, each of the four campaigns will have a daily budget of $12.50. Adjustments to individual campaign budgets will also update the total daily budget.

2. Max CPT Bids are assigned automatically based on industry benchmarks for your app category and storefront. You can modify them as needed.

💡 Tip:

  • At the final step, you can decide whether to continue creating a specific campaign. Simply toggle it off to exclude the campaign from creation.

  • You can quickly rename your campaign by clicking the Edit icon next to the campaign name.

3. Ad Group settings can be customized by clicking the ⚙️ Gear icon. Hover over the icon to review the current configuration. To make changes, update the settings as needed and click Apply to save.

4. Keywords can be reviewed, added, or removed by clicking Edit (N) keywords to open the list for editing, or by clicking Add keywords if no keywords have been added to the campaign yet.

5. For Discovery campaigns, you have the option to automatically create rules that will notify you about high-performing search terms. If you prefer not to use this feature, simply deselect the Notify about good search terms checkbox.

Once all settings are reviewed and adjusted, click Create to complete the setup.

With Campaigns Launcher, setting up structured, optimized campaigns is faster and easier than ever. Try it today and take your campaign management to the next level!
