The short answer is no.
And here is why.
First of all, when your Apple Ads are displayed for a particular keyword, your organic app listing will automatically be displayed at 8-10 position in the search results, even if you don’t rank for this particular keyword. If your app already ranks for this keyword, it’ll be displayed at search position 8-10 or above. Note that this does not necessarily mean that you’ll get a great boost in conversions.
Secondly, if your app has #1 place in organic search results and you run ads for it, you don't need to worry. On the results your users will see ads text banner above the organic search result. So your users are likely to click on the organic result.
The third point is if you run ads, you protect your brand. Your competitors may be bidding on your brand name / word. Then in the results the competitor's banners will be #1, even though you are #1 in organic results.
And the fourth point is that Limited Ads Tracking users are attributed to the organic results.
All of the above should be considered when you question yourselves whether you really buy your organics with Apple Ads.
