How to Seamlessly Migrate to SplitMetrics from Another Vendor

Written by Alex

If you're already using another tool or service connected to your Apple Ads account, you can still start using SplitMetrics Acquire without disrupting your current setup.

Depending on your needs, there are two common ways to proceed:

  • Connect only one campaign group to test SplitMetrics Acquire

  • Fully transition access and use SplitMetrics Acquire as your primary platform

This guide walks you through both options.
โ€‹
โ€‹

If youโ€™d like to explore SplitMetrics Acquire while keeping your existing setup unchanged, you can simply connect one campaign group.

This allows you to:

  • Try out the platform in a controlled way

  • Compare workflows and results

  • Keep your current integrations active

๐Ÿ’ก In SplitMetrics Acquire, an Ad Account = Apple Ads Campaign Group (they refer to the same thing).

โ€‹

To connect your Apple Ads account using OAuth 2.0:

โ— Only an Apple Ads Admin or Campaign Group Manager can grant access.

โ— Recommended: Use Incognito/Private browsing mode during setup.

  1. Log in to your SplitMetrics Acquire account
    โ€‹

  2. Follow the connection guide and click Continue with Apple ๐Ÿ‘‡
    โ€‹

  3. Log in to your Apple Ads account
    โ€‹

  4. Select the account and choose access type:
    โ€‹

    • Account Read & Write โ€“ access to all campaign groups

    • Limited Access โ€“ access to selected campaign groups
      โ€‹

  5. If using Limited Access, select the Read & Write role
    โ€‹

  6. Click Grant Access

Once completed, youโ€™ll see a confirmation on the Ad Accounts page.

After connecting Apple Ads to SplitMetrics Acquire, you may also configure your Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP) integration with the platform.
โ€‹

In many cases, itโ€™s recommended to disconnect your previous MMP integration and reconnect it to SplitMetrics Acquire for the most consistent attribution and automation experience.
โ€‹

This is especially important if your current MMP is AppsFlyer, where disconnecting the previous partner integration is required before proceeding.

If you decide to manage your Apple Ads activity fully in SplitMetrics Acquire, youโ€™ll first need to update access permissions in your Apple Ads account.

This simply means removing access for tools or services you no longer plan to use.
โ€‹

How to update access in Apple Ads

You can manage integrations directly in your Apple Ads account:

  1. Sign in to your Apple Ads account

  2. Go to Account Settings

  3. Open the API tab

  4. Review the list of authorized service providers

  5. Select the provider you no longer need

  6. Choose Revoke Access

This step ensures your account permissions stay clean and up to date.
