Looking to speed up campaign setup while maintaining full control over Ad Groups? With the new Ad Group Duplication flow, it is possible to duplicate, rename, and configure Ads for each Ad Group in a simple, step-by-step process.

This feature brings more flexibility and transparency into duplication, especially for CPP tests, new campaign structures, or multi-storefront scaling.

What exactly does Ad Group duplication offer?

  • Custom Naming for Each Duplicated Ad Group

    Easily rename every duplicated Ad Group within the duplication flow.

    Assign relative destinations such as campaigns or apps for accurate placement.

    Manage ads individually - reuse, skip, or create new ones.

How to use Ad Group Duplication?

1. Start from the Ad Groups Tab

Open the Ad groups section and select the ad groups to duplicate. Click Actions > Duplicate selected ad groups to begin the two-step flow.

2. Choose Destination for New Ad Groups

Select where the duplicated Ad Groups will be placed:

  • Duplicate to other campaigns - Places duplicated Ad Groups into campaigns selected from the list.

  • Duplicate to source campaigns - Places duplicated Ad Groups into the same campaigns as the originals.

3. Duplicate Associated

Include keywords and/or negative keywords from the original Ad Group if needed:

  • Duplicate all keywords - include enabled and paused keywords.

  • Duplicate only enabled keywords - include only active keywords.

  • Include negative keywords - add negative keywords from the original Ad Groups.

💡Clear all checkboxes to skip keyword duplication entirely.

4. Duplicate Labels

Select which duplicated items retain their original labels:

  • Ad Groups

  • Keywords

  • Negative keywords

💡Labels are duplicated only for the associated items selected. If no associated items are duplicated, this option is disabled automatically.

5. Ad Group Settings

Choose how to configure settings for duplicated Ad Groups.

💡Pause source ad groups - Pauses original Ad Groups automatically after duplicates are created.

Use the original ad group settings

  • Keeps the same settings as the originals

  • Adds _Copy to the duplicated group names

Set ad group settings for all at once

  • Set Ad Group name for all duplicates at once, manually or with macros.

  • Specify default Max Bid and CPA Cap (if blank, values are inherited from originals).

  • Define ad group scheduling - decide when all newly duplicated Ad Groups should run.

  • Set a name for each duplicate manually or with macros

  • Define ad group scheduling - choose individual start dates for each duplicated Ad Group.

6. Enable status

Decide the initial status for your duplicated Ad Groups by turning the toggle on or off.

7. Duplicate Ads

Click Next to proceed to Ad Duplication settings.

Select which ads from the original Ad Groups are duplicated:

  • Duplicate all ads

  • Duplicate only enabled ads

  • Duplicate default ads

Create new ads for each duplicated ad group individually

Set up new ads during duplication:

  • Assign a name manually or with macros

  • Add a CPP for the ad

  • Use the Enable status toggle to run the ad immediately or pause for later activation

💡Only one custom ad can be enabled for each Ad Group.

8. Review and Duplicate

Once settings are confirmed, click Duplicate. The duplicated Ad Groups appear in the dashboard with the specified names and ads.

💡Limitations

Individual settings are available when duplicating 30 or fewer Ad Groups at once.
